Plast Craft Games: Light, resistant and 100% safe PVC scenery

Leer versión en español.
The main aspect making us stand out compared to other war game scenery manufacturers is that we are the first to use foamed PVC in the production of our sceneries. This is a material that is normally used in other fields like design, printing or building. Its flexibility, strength and light weight make it a really easy to use material that is perfect for the production of our products.

After introducing this new plastic material, virtually unknown in the market, it is understandable that the user has doubts about its quality and safety.
Even though the only way of checking the quality of our Plast Pre-Cut sceneries is having one of our models in your hands, we understand that it´s not so easy to check if our sceneries comply with all the required security measures. This is why we have decided to give you more information about the foamed PVC with which our products are manufactured. We want to solve any doubts you may have and avoid any confusions about the material we use.

10 Features of our foamed PVC:

These are some features of this material:

  • Light
  • Flexible
  • Stainless.
  • Durable.
  • Hygienic.
  • Fire-proof.
  • Self-extinguishing.
  • Rot-proof.
  • Weather-resistant.
  • Non-toxic.

Is foamed PVC safe?

Laminated PVC is physiologically and chemically inert, so it does not require any special safety procedures for its manipulation. The foamed PVC we work with complies with ROHS/WEEE and REACH European Union regulations about hazardous substances. It does not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), polybrominated ether (PBDEs), formaldehydes, CFCs, asbestos or silicone. This said, we can confirm that the material we use for our Plast Pre-Cut sceneries is 100% safe.

Are toxic gases emitted in the production of Plast Craft Games sceneries?

Sceneries pre-cut with laser with materials like DM or methacrylate are very common in the world of wargame sceneries. This is not the case with our products. Laser cut has never been and will never be a production method that suits us. The main production method we use with our sceneries is numerical-controlled cutting blades (hence the symbol used in our logotype).

We at Plast Craft Games constantly manipulate our PVC sceneries and our priority is tomake sure that the material we work with every day does not imply any risks for our own health or for our wargamers’ health.

The information stated in this document can be found in the official documents supplied by the manufacturer of our foamed PVC.
